Phyllis Justice

Phyllis Marie Justice, 79, Moses Lake resident, went home to heaven, on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories. Please sign online guestbook at www.kayserschapel.com Phyllis was born June 26th, 1936 to the Ethelbert and Elna (Eliassen) Stady in Grenora, North Dakota, where she was raised and educated. She married Ferdinand Justice in 1953 at Sydney, MT. They moved to Schrag, WA in 1956 where she was a homemaker; raising their three children. After her children left home she volunteered at the Samarian Hospital gift shop for a few years and then worked in the Dietary Department. In 1990 they moved to Moses Lake. After retiring, she volunteered at Moses Lake Food Bank and the Moses Lake Thrift Center. She enjoyed working outside, always had a beautiful yard, with abundance of flowers. In early years she planted a huge garden and canned vegetables and fruit for her family. She enjoyed all holidays and would decorate inside and outside. She will be best remembered for her valentine sugar cookies, popcorn balls at Halloween and peppernuts, peanut brittle, lefsa, and Norwegian cookies at Christmas time. She loved to crochet and made numerous holiday items, blankets, and doilies for family and friends. Survivors include her two daughters, Debra (Leo) Baulne and Cindy (Hal) Nelson. Grandchildren: Nicholas Baulne , Jennifer Baulne (Ben), Jolene (Carlos) Justice and Quintin Justice. Great-Grandchildren: Jade, Jacelynn, Dominique and Angel, whom were her reasons to keep struggling when her health began to fail her. One sister, Janice Henricksen of Billings, and a brother, Gerry Stady of Glenwood, IA, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members, Preceded her in death were; Ferdinand, her husband of 43 years, a son, DuWayne, her parents, brother, Robert Stady, sister Betty Madsen, Sister-in-laws, Carole Justice, Delores Barkie, MaryAnn Lukenbill, Helen Johnson; brother in laws, Melvin Johnson, Vernon Justice, Bill Lukenbill, Sammie Barkie, and Arlie Madsen. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her kind heart, her distinguished laugh and voice, and her favorite word, Uffda.
