Christina Lee Harder

Christina Lee Harder (Mone) was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at her home in Ephrata, after an extended illness. Chris was a devoted wife, loving mother, loyal friend, and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. Chris is survived by her husband, Phillip Harder, children, Tom Deskin of Entiat, WA, Adrianna Vlk (Sean) of Moses Lake, stepchildren, Matthew Harder (Kaylee) of Renton, WA, Mitchell Harder (Ariel) of Jacksonville, FL, Megan Harder of Anchorage, AK, and (soon to be!) seven adorable grandchildren. Chris was born on June 30, 1961, in Spokane, WA, but grew up in Ellensburg, WA. She was the third of four children, born to Edward and Nancy Mone. As a young adult, her free spirit took her to California where she began a lifelong career in the food packaging industry. She moved her family back to Washington to help care for her ailing parents, eventually making her home in Ephrata in 1996, enjoying the quiet of a small town. Chris had an infectious, one-of-a-kind sense of humor. Charismatic and kind, she dearly loved her siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends. With zeal and great joy, she shared her faith with friends and strangers alike. In 2007, she met the love of her life and soul mate, Phil. Chris and Phil wed in 2009 and shared the best years of their lives together, traveling (especially to Jamaica!), hiking and enjoying nature, nurturing their children into adulthood, and loving on their grandbabies. In a few blessed years, they made a lifetime of cherished memories. Chris loved her work at National Frozen Foods, in Moses Lake, where she worked for over 20 years as Quality Assurance Manager. There she was able to bless many lives with her tireless work ethic, inspiring and leading others to excellence. Through her illness, beating all the odds, Chris’ testimony is one of faith. Her enduring spirit, dogged determination, and infectious humor, set an example of hope for us all to follow. She shared her love effortlessly, and through her courage and strength, proved her unending faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. Chris is now home, at peace, and free from suffering. It is undeniable that the Lord has looked upon her and whispered “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Often she leaned on this scripture: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1. A memorial service, to honor Chris’ life, will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 11 a.m. at Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive, Moses Lake, WA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Moses Lake Alliance Church.
