William "Bill" Morse

May 13, 1960 - October 28, 2018

On Sunday, October 28, 2018, William "Bill" Clay Morse, loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 58. He was at home surrounded by loving family. Bill was born on May 13, 1960 in Burien, WA to Harry and June Morse. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1978 and worked for the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission in various positions for nearly 30 years. In 1982 he met and later married Shellie Ann Irwin of Moses Lake. They raised three daughters, Michelle, Amber and Aubrie and two sons, James and Michael. Bill had a passion for building things and learning the intricacies of how things worked and functioned. His love for music was unprecedented and used it to communicate his thoughts and ideas to those around him. In his later years, he became an avid audiophile and spent his spare time researching, designing and building amplifiers for musical and broadcast use. He is known for his humor and wit, and his passionate spirit on things that mattered to him. Bill was preceded in death by his parent’s Harry (Audrey) Morse and June (Tony) Alcaraz. He is survived by his wife Shellie, his 5 children,Michelle (Jorge) Longoria, Amber (Alex) DeAnda, James (Jacqui) Morse, Michael Morse, Aubrie (Adam) Niehenke, brothers Terry (Christy) Morse, Robert (Lorna) Ludtke and sisters Lynn (Dave) Heilman, Jenny (Ron) Robbins. Bill is also survived by several grandchildren, Ayla, Anthony, Carson, Christian, Nathan, Jorge, Jonathan, Callie, Grace, and Olivia as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and surrogate children, Trista, Jason, Joseph, Blaine, Brad. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10315 Kory Lane NE, Moses Lake (large brown house on right) followed by a potluck. Bill will be missed by his family and friends.
