Ronald "Ron" Graff
December 12, 1937 - July 31, 2017
Ron Graff, age 79, longtime resident of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on July 31st, 2017 at Samaritan Hospital from complications due to a stomach aneurysm. He was surrounded by family. Ron retired as a welding instructor from Big Bend Community College after teaching for 26 years. He was beloved by his students and received many awards during his years of teaching welding including receiving the Award of Excellence from the American Welding Society (AWS) and the honor of Professor Emeritus from BBCC. Ron was a proud member of the American Legion Forty and Eight. After retiring from education, Ron found a new passion in raising cattle and racing thoroughbreds at Emerald Downs with his wife and best friend, Kathy. He loved creating sculptures from metal in his spare time and could often be found fishing on the lake or watching his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks. He leaves behind his wife Kathy Graff, his brother Leon (Joyce) Graff, his 2 daughters Dacquiri Graff and Brandee (James) Wolfe, his grandson Jett Kendall,his brother-in-law Gary (Sally) Culbert, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, good friends, and his furry companions, Cookie and Tilly. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Kayser's Chapel of Memories.
