Rodney Ford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rodney Ford, 84, of Moses Lake, Washington, peacefully passed away on June 30th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was loved very much and will be missed. His family would like to express their thanks to Health Agencies that took care of him medically. Rodney loved his community and supported several agencies that helped people in need. Rodney Ford was born on January 17th, 1938 to Barbara and Earl Ford in Walker, Minnesota. As a child he worked on the family farm, and with his Father doing carpentry. He eventually settled in Moses Lake where he worked several years for U&I Sugar and eventually retired from the Moses Lake School District as a maintenance carpenter. During retirement Rodney enjoyed traveling and camping in his fifth wheel with his wife Georgene. He also enjoyed being outside and boating with his friends and family. Rodney’s passion was woodworking and he made numerous projects for friends and family. He was a perfectionist and took pride in his work. Rodney was predeceased by his parents Barbara and Earl Ford, his sister Barbara (Bunny) Solomon, and brother Jerry Ford. He was survived by his wife Georgene Ford of 32 years, brothers Gordan Ford and Reggie Ford, his three sons Jerry Ford, Mike Ford, and David Ford. He also had two step-children Jason (Carrie Nelson) Bannon and Jennifer (Curt) Carpenter. He had several grandchildren: Casci and Camille Carpenter, Nathan Bannon, Sheena Moore, Kamen Ford, and Braxston Ford, Neut, Andy, and Lille Ford. The family requests that in lieu of gifts please consider making a donation to Rodney’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family will plan a celebration of life ceremony at a later date in the summer.
