OBITUARY FOR NANCY L. BROTHERTON Nancy made her trip to heaven to be with our Savior on July 27, 2017. Nancy was born on June 16, 1948 in Chehalis, Washington to Harvey H Allison and Ina Allison. She had and is survived by two sisters; Jayne (Allison) McCarley of Vancouver, WA and Glenda (Allison) Anderson and her husband William Anderson of Moses Lake; and a sister-in-law, Selena A. Brotherton of Fairbanks, Alaska. On June 21, 1969, Nancy married Harley John Brotherton in Moses Lake at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Nancy and Harley have three children; Harley J. Brotherton II, married to Erin (Hancock) Brotherton in May 2007. They reside in Kalispell, Montana with their two sons, Reece Brotherton (8 yrs old) and Rafe Brotherton (6 yrs old). Nancy and Harley's older daughter is Allison M.(Brotherton) Miles and married Richard M. Miles in June of 1999 and reside in Kirkland,WA. They have one son, Colin M. Miles (10 yrs old). The youngest daughter, Magge M. Brotherton resides in Moses Lake and has one daughter, Emily J Brotherton (18 Yrs old), also of Moses Lake. During Nancy's life, her pride and passion was her family. Her pride and joy was her one granddaughter and her three grandsons. Nancy lived with her family in Kalispell, Montana where the children went to St. Matthew's Catholic school until 1990. She was involved in St. Matthew's Catholic School and devoted to living a life with Christ as the center of hers and her family's life. The family moved back to Moses Lake in 1991to be close to her ailing mother. From 1991 to the present, she was actively involved in support groups for Alzheimer disease, Parkinson's disease, and numerous other organizations. She was president of the local Soroptimists group doing community services. She was also involved in Chapter ER of the local PEO sisterhood, a woman's philanthropic and education group promoting woman's education. Nancy was always personally involved in her favorite organizations and gave herself unselfishly to each of her favorite causes. Her kindness and unselfish, positive attitude when facing serious medical conditions was one of the things for which she will be remembered. Her infectious smile made all that knew her feel better. You would always leave feeling that you were important to her. Nancy is survived by her husband Harley of 48 years, three children, 4 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Two sisters, are also surviving her. Her parents, Harvey and Ina Allison, her father in law and mother in law, Harley B Brotherton and Margret Brotherton all preceded her in death. Viewing will be 4-7 pm, Aug. 3rd at Kayser's Chapel. A Catholic Rosary will be prayed Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1:30 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 pm will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. A family burial will occur immediately after Mass with reception at the Fatima Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Research Foundation, the Spinal Research Foundation, or The Heart Fund.
