Obituary of Marjorie Elizabeth (Bolton) Massart October 17, 1931 to February 22, 2021 (89) Long time Moses Lake resident, Marjorie Massart, passed away on Monday evening, Feb 22, 2021, at Lakeridge Center of congestive heart failure. Marjorie was born on October 17, 1931 in Bismarck, North Dakota to John (Jack) and Marie (Gabel) Bolton. The family moved to Kennewick, WA in 1941. She graduated from Kennewick High School where she met her future husband George Massart, Jr. Marjorie graduated from Gonzaga University and was in the 2nd class of women admitted to Gonzaga. After graduating she married George Massart, Jr. in 1953. The couple moved to Fort Benning, GA where George was a commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. After the Army they moved to Moses Lake and George went to work with his father at Grant County Mechanical Contractors while they raised their six children. Marjorie received her Master’s Degree in Education at Fort Wright College of the Holy Names in 1978. She enjoyed teaching Adult Basic Education for more than 20 years at Big Bend Community College and had enormous pride in her students’ accomplishments as they achieved their General Education Degrees. Marjorie was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, she was a fantastic cook, avid reader, bridge player, and loved to travel. Marjorie had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. Marjorie is survived by her brother Jack Bolton (Sharon), and her children Robert Massart (Rebecca), Joan Massart-Paden, Susan Massart, Theodore (Ted) Massart (Danna) and Mary Anne (Massart) Throlson; 9 grandchildren (Sean, Guy, Amber, Natalie, Andrew, Austin, Stephanie, Jessica and Tiffany), 6 great-grandchildren (Kaylee, Marilyn, Nathan, Robert, Mark, & Raelynn), and daughter-in-law Patti Massart. She was preceded in death by her husband George and son Mark. Her Funeral Mass will be held on March 26th at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
