June 29, 1922 - May 15, 2019
Margaret Faye Bennett was called to be with the Angels on May 15, 2019. She was born June 29, 1922 in Dade County, Missouri. In the early 50’s her husband and son were killed and she came to Washington state with her remaining son to live with her sister Dixie Jacks and family. She lived with Dixie until March 1, 2018. At that time Margaret was diagnosed with dementia and needed more help so she moved to Hearthstone Assisted Living. As conditions worsened, she was moved to Columbia Crest where she lived out her remaining time on earth. She loved to work because she loved people. Margaret worked at Rasco’s, Hatfields and the Berry’s Dept Store (all in the same building) for over 35 years. After retirement she help at ML Floral and ML Athletic Club (where she enjoyed getting Dairy Queen sundays from Mr. Tom Whittle) until she was 92 years old. She loved traveling and gambling. Before arthritis became too much she also enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting. Homemade cheeseburgers were a big delight as well as fried potatoes and chocolate cake. Yahtzee was a favorite game to play and she usually won. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Bennett and sons Calvin and Clayton. Parents Oscar and Tina Wymore, brother in law Wally Jacks and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her sister, Dixie Jacks of Moses Lake; nieces, Debbie (Mike) Leedom, Terry (Don) Sell; nephew Pat (Liz) Jacks; and grandsons Ryan Bennett and Brad Hunt; great grandchildren, Jacob, Raymond and Makayla; many great nieces and nephews and a few great greats as well. There are no words to express the lives she impacted with her humor, love and kindness. She will be missed so very much. We will be having a Celebration of Life for Margaret on her 97th birthday, June 30, 2019 at Moses Lake Eagles Lodge #2622 at 2:00 p.m. Please express your thoughts and memories for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are under the care of Kayser’s Chapel of Memories.
