March 9, 1926 - September 22, 2019
A 50-year resident of Moses Lake, Lillian Terhune-Sharp (93 1⁄2 years of age), went to be with the angels on Sunday, September 22nd in her own home, surrounded by her loved ones. Lillian was the 2nd oldest of 7 born to James Paul & Edna Terhune on March 9th, 1926 in Kelso, WA. She studied Nursing in Seattle, WA but most often spoke of her days as a telephone operator. Lillian was swept off her feet by Army private Basil B Sharp and they were married on August 5th, 1946. They had 3 children: David, Charlotte, and Donald. While traveling with the armed services, the family lived in various areas including Germany, Massachusetts, Georgia, and then retiring from the army in Sacramento, CA. As a civilian, Basil’s work with job core transferred Lillian and her family to Moses Lake, WA. Lillian’s greatest loves were her family and her faith. Every holiday was an event, every meal a feast, and all were welcome and cherished. Many of us will always cherish the beautiful way that Lillian would lift her voice to sing God’s praises. Other hobbies Lillian enjoyed included fishing at ‘Sharp’s Cove’, day trips with Basil, and her Mariners. Preceded in death by her husband Basil, oldest son David, youngest son Donald, brother Jim, sister Gwen, sister Obreane, and brother Tim. Lillian is lovingly remembered by her daughter Charlotte (husband Edward), sister Rosella, sister Verna, daughter-in-law Treasa, daughter-in-law Debbie, 7 grandchildren: Carri (husband Gary), Channa, Aaron (wife Donna), Jackie (husband Jeff), Jennifer, David (wife Treenal), Jon, and Samantha, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held this Thursday, September 26th at Kayser’s Chapel (831 S Pioneer Way) at 10 a.m. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service, grave committal and a celebration of life at noon located at 1st Baptist church (724 W 4th Ave).
