He started out as a hired man with a farm and dairy combination. After his third child was born, he moved everyone to Warden, Washington. Here he farmed with his uncle and cousin in law. Later he rented a farm and ran it for a few years where upon he purchased a farm and struck out on his own. After college his son joined him on the farm. They started an onion processing plant in Warden in 1974. It has been a family owned and operated business ever since. Ken was also the president of Grant County Farm Bureau for many years and the local Jaycees chapter. Ken loved to garden since his first job until his death. There was always plenty for family and friends. He began collecting in his later years. He treasured every collection. In his life Ken collected many colleagues, friends, and acquaintances. Everyone was part of his personal collection and loved. Ken and his wife, Barbara, traveled a great deal, and he was very proud that he had visited all the states in the United States. They also had a chance to visit Europe and Scandinavia where his parents were born. He loved meeting the cousins he never knew and learning more about Denmark along the way. Ken will be missed. We will meet again, love you Dad. Services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden, Washington.
