Doris J Rowe
June 29, 1929 - August 12, 2019
Doris June Rowe was received by her Lord and Savior on August 12, 2019. She died of natural causes. Doris was born in Buhl, Idaho on June 29, 1929, to John and Laura Prilucik. There she attended school and started her family. In 1965 she married David Rowe and relocated to Moses Lake, WA where she worked for several years at Chef Reddy Frozen Foods in Othello before starting her own day care for children in her home. Over the years she cared for many pre-school and after school kids. She retired her business in the early 90’s and began volunteering for the Moses Lake Senior Center where she “worked” for 15 years. She also volunteered and tutored children for the United Methodist Church Youth Senior Connection after school program. Doris loved her family, her church, and most of all children. She often remarked that God put her on this earth to care for kids. She will be fondly remembered by the little ones she looked after, cuddled and tutored. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Rowe, and son, Rick Lancaster. She is survived by her brother Gail Prilucik (Jerry) Sunnyside WA, one son, John Forest, Royal City, WA and two daughters, Linda Forest (Gary Greenleaf), Coeur d’Alene, ID and Marsha Newton (Bob), Moses Lake, WA, grandchildren Zachary, Rick, and Melissa Forest and Kristina Newton plus two great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Moses Lake United Methodist Church on Saturday August 17 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the United Methodist Church Youth Senior Connection kids tutoring program.
