Dave Junior Campbell

July 5, 1933 - July 26, 2021

Dave Junior Campbell’s mischievous personality came into the world 0n July 5th 1933 in Mesa, Arizona, the 4th child of 11 siblings to Dave and Geneva Campbell. In the mid-1940s his family moved to the Columbia Basin to work the irrigation project. Where he attended Moses Lake High School and ran the mile in under four minutes, you didn’t run from Dad for any reason. He worked in his father’s repair shop to help support his family after his dad was injured. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1953, then served 2 tours for his country. Dave had the honor of loving 3 ladies in his life. Had 3 children and welcomed 2 more into the family. He loved going on trips to see family and friends. He enjoyed the lifelong friendships of Martha and Jim Love as well as Roselee and Cecil Procter. He was the Owner/Operator of a Signal Gas Station and garage in Moses Lake. Dave was employed by Boyles Chevrolet, Beeline Frame and Axle, Grant County PUD and was a Bus Driver Assistant for the MLSD. Dave dedicated time in the pursuit of trinkets lost on the road side and found while working for Marge Flagging. Dave loved to take things apart to figure out how they worked and could fix anything he put his mind to. Dave drove tow trucks and participated in Demolition Derbies. He enjoyed Stock Car racing and was loved by his #34 adoring fans. Dave spent as much of his free time as he could enjoying the great outdoors, rock hunting, hiking, camping, hunting, gold panning, dredging and going to Alaska. Dave liked to introduce kids to the great outdoors. He was a Scout leader for several years, supported Civil Air Patrol cadet events, Girl Scouts, 4-H and F.F.A. He attended concerts, drill team competitions and baseball games. Given the chance, Dave would stick a fishing pole in the hands of anyone that would hold still and no small effort was made to change the world with his bad Dad Jokes. Dave’s smile and sense of humor stayed with him as he passed, surrounded by love, into the arms of family waiting on the other side. Dave is waiting for us by the river with: Dave P. and Geneva Campbell , Wife, Betty Jane Gleed, Virginia Bohanan , Sisters, Mae Hammond, Faye Peek, Stella Phillips, Doris Campbell, Breann LeFave.
