Darlene M. Fluaitt, “Dolly” resident of Moses Lake Washington passed away unexpectantly on July 24th, 2020 at the age of 75. Dolly was surrounded by family. Dolly will be laid to rest at Pioneer Memorial Cemetery Friday July 31st. Service is being kept private for family members. Family and friends can attend the viewings Wednesday July 29th from 3-4pm and Thursday July 30th from 1-4:30 pm at Kayser’s Chapel. Dolly grew up on a small farm home along with her parents and brother raising chickens. Dolly enjoyed many adventures in the woods with her neighborhood friends on Old Military Rd and being a member of the Girl Scouts. She loved spending time on the bay fishing with her dad and grandparents. Dolly also enjoyed performing in the choir and drama club while attending Central Kitsap High School. At the age of 16 Dolly meant the love of her life. After 3 years on April 4th1964 Dolly married Brian K. Fluaitt. Dolly and Brian raised 3 children on a small family farm and enjoyed all the hard work and fun of raising horses, swine, chickens, ducks, rabbits and sheep, planting vegetable gardens, canning and being a 4-H leader, attending Fairs and watching their children play sports. Dolly loved taking the horses up into the mountains with Brian for a weekend of trail riding and camping. Dolly’s career work was in the medical field, working at Cabrini’s in Seattle as a CNA, Providence in Everett as a CNA/ Unit Secretary and Medical Staff Coordinator, Cascade Medical Center in Arlington as a Medical Staff Coordinator and finally Samaritan in Moses Lake as a Medical Staff Coordinator. Dolly worked hard to achieve a lifelong goal of a B.A. in Medical Administration and Psychology. Dolly very much enjoyed her hobby of knitting and creating beautiful works of art. Dolly excelled at preparing wool from the ground up. Sheering, carding, washing, dyeing and spinning wool into beautiful yarn to create some amazingly beautiful garments. She has made socks, sweaters, shawls, purses and afghans for her children, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. For several summers Dolly and her grandchildren spent weekends at the Farmers Market in Moses Lake selling her crafts and homemade items. Dolly also enjoyed helping her grandchildren with their 4-H and FFA projects. In Dolly’s final years She was blessed to find love again with Jim Woxen. Dolly and Jim meant May 26th, 2015. The two started their life together that June. They loved going to crafting fairs together, enjoyed eating out, living the farm life and watching movies. Jim loved to watch Dolly knit his “odds and ends socks” Dolly is survived by her three children, daughter’s Deborah Lyn Page (Edwin) of Kennewick, WA., Tamera Ann Fluaitt (Sean) Of Moses Lake, WA. and Brian Kelly Fluaitt of Moses Lake, WA. Nine Grandchildren Anthony C. Fluaitt, Stephanie A. Halcomb (Brian), Rachel L. Johnson (Reed), Brian K. Fluaitt (Rachel), Kallin E. Fluaitt (Courtney), Gabrielle M. Bryant (Kyle), Dawnielle M. Bryant (Kurtis), Chandler G. Fluaitt and Chase G. Fluaitt. Four Great grandchildren, Truett, Gus, Kivar and Emory. Her Brother’s in law Philip Fluaitt and James Fluaitt (Sue), sister in law Virginia Ewers and many nieces and nephews. Dolly is preceded in death by Her Husband Brian K. Fluaitt of 35 years, her Parents Charles D. Ewers Sr. and Ceceilia Jones, brother Charles D. Ewers Jr., Parent in laws Philip B. and Marjorie M. Fluaitt, Sister’s in law Joan Fluaitt and Janis Lair, Brother in law Ruben Lair.
