Wilma Sircin

Wilma G. Sircin, 84, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away after a valiant fight against pancreatic cancer on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 11, 2009 at Kayser's Chapel & Crematory. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Kayser's Chapel. Wilma was born on August 8, 1925 in Mitchell, Nebraska, daughter of the late William and Frances (Warner) Jones. She was the youngest of 3 daughters. Wilma married Allen Sircin in 1941 and they farmed and fed cattle near Homedale until 1956. They then moved to Moses Lake and built A & W Feedlot (now El Oro Feedlot). After Allen retired they spent part of their summer in Sun River, Oregon and winters in Yuma, AZ. They loved traveling in their motor home criss- crossing the United States. Allen passed away in 1996. Wilma continued spending summers in Moses Lake and winters in Yuma. In 2000, Wilma met the second great love of her life, Kenny Lund, while in Yuma. They were loyal and loving companions until her death. Wilma was the quintessential "domestic goddess", taking wonderful care of her husband, family and homes. She was a great cook, an avid gardener and an excellent hostess. Everyone wanted to attend Wilma's parties. She is survived by her loving companion, Kenny Lund, Gig Harbor, WA; one sister, Lila Whipple, Boise, ID; 3 daughters, Trudy (Richard) Watson, Moses Lake, Cindy (Pat) Freeman, Ridgefield, WA and Vickie Heath, Moses Lake; 4 grandchildren, Lori Watson-Esparza, Warden, Hailey K. Heath, Vancouver, WA, Nicole (Jason) Dewey, Ridgefield, and Andrew Heath of Moses Lake; 3 great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Alyssa and Hannah Dewey all of Ridgefield; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Edda Sievers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen, parents, sister Helen, granddaughter, Angela Watson, and son-in-law Michael Heath. She will be greatly missed and loved always. Her family and friends take great comfort in the knowledge that she is in God's Care and out of pain. The family suggests memorials be made to the Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation, P.O.
