Sheila Rosenberg

SHEILA MAE ANDERSON ROSENBERG Sheila Mae Rosenberg, 17, a resident of Soap Lake, Wash. and a senior at Soap Lake High School, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011. She was born in Moses Lake, Wash. on August 17, 1993. Sheila was a very loving little girl who always had a hug and bright shiny smile that she didn’t hesitate to share with everyone. She had a passion for life which surrounded her mother, father, grandpa Vernon, grandma Goose, all of her friends and classmates, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sheila attended grade school in Olympia before moving back to Soap Lake. She attended middle school in Soap Lake, then moved back to Olympia for the rest of her middle school education, and started her high school career at North Thurston High School. While in Olympia Sheila volunteered her time with various charities which she put her whole heart and soul into. Sheila and her mom moved back to Soap Lake where Sheila enrolled at Soap Lake High School. She played the trumpet in middle school. She was a wonderful athlete – a member of the volleybal team and captain of the basketball team. She also excelled as a member of the track team. Sheila had a huge affection and respect for the elderly and children of all ages loved her. She is survived by her loving mother, Michele Anderson and fiancé Ryan Perry of Soap Lake; her father, Donnie and wife Carrie Rosenberg of Olympia, Wash.; her grand-parents, Vernon and Joyce An-derson of Soap Lake; uncle Rick Anderson and fiancé Cristi McCaslin of Spokane, Wash.; cousins Michael and Tyler Anderson of Tacoma, Wash.; her paternal grandparents, Barb and Carl Myers; aunt Shannon and husband Lalo Martinez; uncle Elijah and wife Erica Rosenberg; aunt Holly and Alex Vasquez; uncle Joey; and cousins too numerous to mention. Sheila was preceded in death by her namesake and maternal grandma, Sheila Mae Fread; her great grandma and grandpa, Icey and Don Johnson; great grandpa and grandma, Chuck and Jeanette Fread. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 2 at the Community Evangelical Free Church, 110 Main Ave. E., Soap Lake with Pastor Gordy Whipps officiating. Because of the church being quite small, there will be satellite feeds of the service at the Smokiam Alternative High School (next to the church), Don’s Restaurant banquet room, and the Del Red Tavern, all in Soap Lake. Interment will follow the service at Valley View Memorial Park, Soap Lake, with a reception following at the Soap Lake High School. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at Bank of America in Moses Lake and any US Bank branch, to the Sheila Mae Rosenberg memorial fund.
