Margie Eileen Barger

Margie Eileen Barger, 78, of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away on December 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family and love. Margie was born on April 22, 1947, in Renton, Washington, to Max and Eileen Bardessono. While still in high school, she attended beauty school and quickly discovered her joy for doing hair — a passion that reflected her creative spirit and love for helping others feel their best. In 1966 at the age of 19, Margie married the love of her life, Dennis, and together they began building the family that would become the center of her world. They had three children and moved around quite a bit early on, then in 1981 settled in Moses Lake to pursue farming — a life that perfectly suited Margie’s hardworking, caring, and devoted nature. Margie was known for growing the most beautiful gardens, collecting antiques, and expressing her creativity through crafting, decorating, and cooking. Her home was always warm and welcoming, filled with laughter, love, and the comforting smells of something delicious in the oven. She cherished traveling and spending time with friends and family. Later in life, at the age of 43, she embraced a new career as a medical transcriptionist. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Dennis, her brother David and her parents. Margie is survived by her children: Kim (Vern) Searcy, Brad (Melodie) Barger, and Lisa (Jason) Sheppard; her eight grandchildren, Carson, Brady, Brandon, Lucas, Eli, Tate, Ryan, and Ashlyn; her three great-grandchildren, Orion, Fiona, and Ezekial; along with many cherished friends and extended family. Margie's kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will truly be missed by friends and family. A celebration of Margie’s life will be held at a later date this summer. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the beautiful life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in every garden that blooms, every family gathering filled with laughter, and every heart she touched. Arrangements are under the care of Kayser's Chapel of Memories.
