Manuela Maria Lopez

Manuela Maria Lopez, 95 of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away June 20, 2026 at home with family by her side. She was born in Aquas Calientes, Mexico on April 1, 1931 to parents Remigio and Manuela Mendez. She was the eldest of eight siblings. She was raised in "El Valle", Mission, Texas. She married her young love, Juan Lopez on September 12, 1949. As a young couple they moved from Texas to Moses Lake, Washington with their five children in 1956, where her husband found employment with Yamamoto Farms. Around 1962 they moved to Warden, Washington where she raised her children. Many years later she and her husband retired and returned back around 1992 to Moses Lake, Washington. Manuela was a stay at home mom until her children were in school. She worked for many years in local fresh pack and Ag processing plants in Warden and Othello. She and her husband taught their children the importance of work ethics; showing up every day, even when it's hard and you didn't feel like it; that you are making a difference and they believed education was important. Manuela greatest love & joy in her life was her family & friends. She believed in her Catholic faith, praying her devotions & rosary daily. She enjoyed cooking, singing, laughter, she would light up with little children, and spent hours caring for her flower garden. Manuela and Juan were blessed with 64 years of marriage before her husband passed away in 2013. Manuela is survived by her children: Alicia Villegas (decease) (David), Mike Lopez (Sally), Irene Valdez (Junior decease), Jane King (Andy), Estela Lopez (William A). Manuela is survived by siblings: Reymundo & Maria Mendez (Texas) Angela & Ignacio Perez (both deceased) Texas Salvador & Magarita Mendez (Texas) Jose Luis & Inocencia Mendez (Texas) Pancho & Delia (decease) Mendez (Texas) Nacho & Mary Mendez (Idaho) Lupita & Frank (decease) Segovia (Texas) She also leaves 15 grandchildren: Amy, Sonyia, David, Michael, Tony, Steven, Jeremy, Roy, Veronica, Sara, Virginia (decease), John, Gilbert, Lisa & Estevan; 28 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, with another on the way. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Rosary beginning at 10:00am, Mass at 10:30am then followed by a luncheon at the (CCD Center) at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic church, 200 N Dale Rd, Moses Lake, WA 98837 Mother; May your mind be clear and peaceful at last. Thank you for your unconditional love. Grandma's love and beautiful spirit will be remembered always and live through us all. (as per one of her grandchild) The family would like to thank family, friends and all who offered prayers with our mother's Alzheimer's/Dementia (the long goodbye) and services provided through Aging & Adult Care and Assure/ Hospice.
