Larry Lee Veden

Loving husband, dad, "Papa", "Crappa", brother, and friend, Larry Lee Veden, quietly passed away on August 24, 2026, at home. After a short illness God has called our Larry (Lars) unexpectedly to be with Him. Larry was well known in his family and friend circle to be a very smart, self-educated, individual with lots of ideas to share. He was good at encouraging people to do their best, have patience, and work hard towards their goals. Although Larry was born in Greely, Colorado, to Ruth and Dale Veden in 1954, he grew up and graduated from Quincy, Washington in 1972 where he married his first wife Carmen and was blessed with two girls, Aimee Veden and Ladonna Workman (Justin) to raise. In his younger years he worked in the Moses Lake surrounding areas as a farm hand, a groundskeeper, a janitor and even tried long-haul trucking. Needing more stability for the future he continued his education in Spokane getting his engineering degree. After that achievement he moved to the west side to work for the Wa. St. Bridge Preservation Program which lasted for 30 years. Larry married Roxann, his second wife in 2003 and gained another daughter, Joelle DeHerrera. He was a reverend of the Genesis II Church of Health and Healing and sought after natural ways to promote life wellness. Some of his hobbies included playing cribbage and chess, lock-smithing, Chinese fitness arts, parts making, fixing and creating useful things, and reading. Our hearts have an empty spot now that he is gone. He is survived by his wife-Roxann, his daughters- Aimee Veden and Ladonna Workman, his son-in-law- Justin Workman and step-daughter-Joelle DeHerrera, his sister- Vickie Rapp (John), brothers- Dale Veden Jr., Tommy Veden, and Tracy Veden along with 8 beautiful grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and other family members. Missing him also will be co-workers from Bridge Preservation, and good friends, Rich and Sherrie Hovde, and Lynn and Irene Cenell. Because Larry valued and cultivated unique relationships based on sincerity, he will be very missed and remembered by many each in their own individual ways.
