Ida Faye Crawford

Ida Faye Crawford, 74, of Moses Lake, Washington, went to be with Jesus the morning of November 19th, 2025, after a long battle with illness. She was in the comfort of her home with her loving husband beside her. Ida was born in Wichita, Kansas on September 16th, 1951, to Eugene and Ida Pennington. The family moved several times when she was younger and eventually arrived in Mount Lake Terrace, Washington. She met her future love of her life and husband, Edward Lee Crawford at a diner in Mount Lake Terrace in 1967, she was only 15. She was immediately head over heels in love, but too young to date. It wasn’t until later that year, during her sophomore year at Mount Lake Terrace High School she ran into that same young man and they both were smitten. At that time Ed had just started his senior year. Ed graduated in 1968 and asked for Ida’s hand in marriage. They were married on June 6th, 1969, in front of the Justice of the Peace when Ida was 17 years old. They started their beautiful life together in Mount Lake Terrace, Washington. They had their first son, Mark Edward, in March 1971 followed by their second son, Travis Lee in November 1973. With both of their sons in tow, they moved to the next town over, Lynnwood, Washington. There they had their daughter, Sarah Leann in July 1978. Ida was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest started school. She then worked for Blue Cross for several years in Lynnwood, Washington. They made the same house their home for the next several years until 1990, when they would make the biggest move of their lives. They moved across the state to Moses Lake, Washington with their 3 children where they bought their dream home. Ida worked for SkillSource of Moses Lake until she retired. For many years she greeted everyone who walked through the doors and was known for her bubbly personality. She was loved by many. Ida’s world revolved around her family and the life that she built with her husband. Her family was her everything. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Edward Crawford, her children, Mark (Eneida) Crawford, Travis Crawford, and Sarah (Jeff) Schoenwald. She was so proud of her grandbabies Mark (Jessica) Crawford, Jazzmin (Dane) Friedbauer, and Aidan (Samantha) Crawford. She also had the blessing of her great-grandbabies, Harrison, Lily, Edward, Basilia, and Lucy. Ida will be remembered for her love of Jesus and loving her family unconditionally. Heaven gained a special angel, and she will be deeply missed. We know she was greeted in Heaven by her Momma (Ida), Mom (Dorothy), and her big sister Linda JoAnn. “Mothers never really die, they just keep the house up in the sky. They polish the sun by day and light the stars that shine at night, keep the moonbeams silvery bright and in the heavenly home above they wait to welcome those they love”.
