Guadalupe Cruz Guzman Perez

Guadalupe Cruz Guzman Perez, daughter of Refugia Bustamante Zamora and Cleofas Hernandez Cruz Jr., was born on January 29th, 1949, in Asherton, TX. Lupe enjoyed time with all her siblings, Arturo, Vera, Alonzo, Cleo, Freddie, Abel. Being with her sisters was always a good time, they enjoyed going on double dates and riding around in classic cars. Lupe had a love for dancing like no other and it carried on into her late years. Lupe was always there to support her boys in any and every sport they were in. Lupe was the ultimate “team mom” by making tacos and fried chicken with tortillas for all of her boys’ teammates. She loved making meals for her boys. Lupe was known to make large quantities of food for every event, her love language was feeding the people that she loved, her family and friends. Lupe was known for her family get-togethers at the ranch with her husband Junior the nights were always full of loud music, yummy food and good times. Lupe had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you would always find her in the front rows of the chapel in a pretty dress and colorful jewelry (along with coming in 8 minutes late so everyone could see her outfit). She took pride in her religion and made sure all her member friends were taken care of, you could always count on her to help any member in need. Lupe was very charitable and faithful, there was never a time you would see her car without bags full of clothing to give to people in need. She loved missionaries, she was known as “the mission grandma”. She was her three grandchildren Hannah, Daniel, and Breannas number one supporter when they were serving their missions for the Lord. Her grandchildren Hannah, Breanna, Daniel, Angelinna, Amorra, Samoa, and Brando meant everything to her. Everything she did was for her grandchildren, she enjoyed going on country cruises with them along with everyone's favorite snacks. Lupe’s favorite thing to do was to take her grandchildren to Pizza Hut every Sunday after church. Walking into Lupe’s home you would always find her in the kitchen with an apron on, she would most likely be preparing fresh tortillas, menudo, pork mole, calabaza con pollo or chorizo con papas. Lupe enjoyed gardening and growing big and beautiful flowers.The majority of the summer she would be in her garden either pulling weeds or eating raspberries straight from the bush. Where her family was, she was. Lupe found all of her happiness in family and never in materialistic things, she was proud of her family and all that they are. Lupe always encouraged people to be themselves and do what made them happy no matter what. Her loving, caring, and motivating spirit touched so many hearts, even up to her last days here. Lupe passed away June 14th 2023 at 12:38 a.m. at the age of 74. Lupe fought a fierce battle but she knew it was her time to be with the angels. Lupe is survived by her children Danny (wife: Joanna and children: Hannah and Daniel); Andre (wife: Brandee and children: Breanna, Angelinna, and Amorra); and Frankie (wife: Joy and children: Samoa and Brando) Services will be held on Friday June 23th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1515 S. Division Street in Moses Lake, WA. She will be laid to rest at Pioneer Memorial at 14403 Road 2 NE Moses Lake, WA.
