Geoffrey Kirkwood

Geoffrey “Geoff” William Kirkwood passed unexpectedly on January 12, 2016 in Othello, WA at his home. Geoff was the fourth out of six born to Donald and Angela Kirkwood on September 12, 1986 in Moses Lake, WA. Geoff was a kind hearted, generous, and loving son, brother, and uncle. He was raised in Othello and graduated from Othello High School in 2005. He enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball throughout his youth. He then attended Washington State University for three years before moving back to Othello and started his career with Jahns’ Pipe Construction. He was hard working, irreplaceable and devoted employee of Jahns’ Pipe Construction for the last seven years. Geoff enjoyed spending time with his two four-legged kids: Belle and Bosco. Most days you could find Geoff with the dogs riding along with him, partly because he truly enjoyed his furry friends and partly because they would get into trouble if he left them for too long. He loved to spend time with family especially his numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his parents Don and Angie Kirkwood (Othello, WA), siblings: Cody and Wade Parrish (Moses Lake, WA), Greg and Tara Kirkwood (San Antonio, TX), Caitlin and Todd Higley (Moses Lake, WA), Courtney and Aaron Simmons (Pullman, WA) and Christine Kirkwood (Othello, WA) and nieces and nephews: Anthony, Makhaela, Issabelle, Miciah, Conner, Cash, Blaire, Jace, Nolan and Bode. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Hope Beierman and paternal grandmother Clara Kirkwood and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather William Kirkwood. Geoff will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Geoff was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, uncle and friend. His funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 pm, Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Othello, WA. There will be a celebration of life following at JR Ranch Sale Barn, 1890 West Hatton Rd. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Geoff’s life.
