Dennis M. Jordan

Dennis M. Jordan, 67, a longtime resident of Coulee City died Thursday, January 9, 2014 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born March 29, 1946, in Wenatchee, WA to Emanuel and Eunice (Peterson) Jordan. He lived in the Withrow/Waterville area attended Elementary School in Withrow, WA and graduated from Waterville High School in 1964. He entered the Naval Reserve in the summer of 1963 and began active duty after graduation in June of 1964. Upon completing his Naval service in July of 1969 he returned home and worked for a short period of time for Alcoa in Wenatchee, WA before joining the now Central Washington Grain Growers. He retired from Central Washington Grain Growers where he served in many capacities ending as Outside Foreman in March of 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and watching all levels and any kind of sporting event especially his beloved Yankees. He could fix anything that was broken and build anything he needed and was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He never knew a stranger and loved talking farming, sports and family. He was actively involved in his church, Coulee City Assembly of God, and the Grant County Port District #4 as Commissioner. Dennis is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathy (Vaughn); his daughter Denise (Tim) Krober of Moses Lake, sons Vaughn (Valerie) Jordan of Coulee City, Wade Jordan and fiancé Noel Walter of Coulee City: grandson Landon Dennis Jordan; sisters Carol Stroud of Moses Lake, Barbara Murphy of Cashmere, brothers Steve (Becky) Jordan of Waterville and LeeRoy (Mardy) Jordan of Waterville and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Eunice Jordan and infant brother: brother–in-laws Doug Stroud and Harry Murphy. He was loved by many and we are blessed to have had him in our lives. Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 10:00am at the Coulee City Assembly of God, 205 W. Douglas St. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Soap Lake. Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2014 from 10:00am to 7:00pm at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories, 831 S.
