Debra “Debbie” Leigh Nanto August 9, 1951 – August 15, 2022 Obituary for Debra “Debbie” Leigh Nanto On August 15, 2022, Debra “Debbie” Leigh Nanto, 71, and James “Jim” Takayuki Nanto, 83, perished in a house fire. Our hearts are broken knowing we will no longer hear their beautiful harmonizing. God needed a flutist and violinist to complete his band. Debbie was born on August 9, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from David W. Carter High School in Dallas. Debbie then returned to Missouri where her parents and siblings were living. She met and married her first husband, Vincent M Schultz in Knob Noster, Missouri. They had two sons, Vincent M. Schultz Jr. and Michael Schultz. Debbie furthered her education by becoming a licensed vocational nurse and worked in a doctor’s office and nursing homes. Her most rewarding work was at the Dialysis Center in Denton, TX. Debbie married Jim on August 23, 2002. Her love of music continued as Debbie and Jim’s lives consisted of choirs, concerts, orchestras, and making beautiful music blending their voices in perfect harmony. Jim was the love of her life as she was to him. She found someone who loved her beyond words and taught Debbie she was worthy of love. Debbie is survived by her son Michael (Tracey) Schultz and Grandchildren: Adrienne West, Alexis (Dalton) Schultz Haddock, and Cameron Schultz – Macon, MO. Great Granddaughters: Maeve Joelle and Eleanor Vonciel Haddock. Debbie and Jim’s grandchildren: Reice, Isaac, TyeLeah, and Judah Nanto -Washington. Siblings: Brent Hensley – Ocala, FL; Brenda (Wayne) VanHoose – Denton, TX; David (Rita) Reynolds – Quitman, TX; Robin Hensley – Lewisville, TX; Vicki (Augustine) Serna – Valley View, TX; and Lynn (Lizette) Hensley – Royce City, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends that were as close as family. Debbie was preceded in death by parents Thomas J. and Jacquelynne Pearce Reynolds; grandparents Frank and Edythe Dailey Pearce; and Thelma Hensley. nephew Randal “Randy” Reynolds and nieces Brandi Mae Reynolds and Teresa Serna, as well as Debbie’s sweet Labrador dog, Precious. A funeral will be held on August 27, 2022, 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1849 Nelson Road Northeast, Moses Lake, Washington 98837.
