In Loving Memory of Charlie Jones With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charlie Jones, beloved father, husband, friend, coach and ordained minister. Charlie passed away on July 10, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. Born on July 23, 1953, Charlie lived a life of compassion and generosity. He was known for his unwavering support, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone. His dedication to his family and his love for Jesus were truly inspiring. Charlie is survived by his beloved Arabela (Linda), his three boys Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob , his brothers Alan and Deandre, sisters Annie Mae and Charlie Mae, his grandchildren and great grandchild, who will forever cherish his memory and strive to honor his legacy. His warmth, wisdom, and love will remain in family and friends’ hearts. A viewing will be from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, July 18, at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories, 831 South Pioneer Way, Moses Lake. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 4 pm, at The Day Star Gym in Moses Lake, 6378 Arnold Dr, Moses Lake, WA 98837, to celebrate his remarkable life. Charlie Jones was born in Coleman, Georgia to Johnie Jones and Cora Mae Jones. He moved from Belle Glade Florida in 1968 to attend Job Corps in Moses Lake Washington. Little did Charlie know he was going to get a job with Job Corps and work there for 30 years until Retirement. Charlie met his beautiful wife Linda in 1978, and had three sons Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Charlie ran a successful lawn care business for many years . A man of service and loved by his community, he served his community through “The Church in Moses Lake,” where he found the Lord and attended for his whole life. Charlie also served as the president of the Martin Luther King Committee for 30 plus years where he worked to keep Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream alive and help Moses Lake’s community with race relations. Charlie believed in Jesus and shared his belief with everyone he knew. If met Charlie Jones, you felt like family. He always had a kind word and was willing to pray for anyone. He was so inclusive it didn’t mater who you were; he wanted you to find the Lord and be saved. Rejoice with Christ, Charlie. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Amen.
