Bradley Martell Palmer

Bradley Martell Palmer, the best dad, most dedicated husband, supportive son, loving grandfather, brother and uncle returned to our Heavenly Father on a chilly Wednesday morning January 15, 2020 after a brave and enduring fight with cancer. He was born September 25, 1956 in Moses Lake, WA to Martell and Gwen Palmer, the oldest of 4 children. He started school in Tulelake, CA but quickly returned to Moses Lake where he attended elementary school and junior high school. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1974. He attended Ricks College for a year before leaving to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines from 1975 to 1977. After his mission he headed to Utah to attend BYU-Provo and Utah Technical College majoring in Drafting. He quickly realized farming was his true passion and returned home to Moses Lake, where he found his one and only true love, Melode Hope. They were married for time and all eternity June 12, 1982 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They put down their “roots” and worked together farming just Southeast of Moses Lake, WA. Besides raising crops they raised 4 wonderful children, Shane, Eric, Kyle and Heidi. Brad loved working outside and continued to farm until he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, Glioblastoma Type 4, the first of December 2018. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many Ward and Stake callings. To say, “he loved and was loved by many” is an understatement. He truly was the best. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwen Palmer. He is survived by his father, Martell Palmer, his wife, Melode Palmer, brothers, Craig (Stacie) Palmer and Travis (Sara) Palmer, Moses Lake, WA and his sister Hollie (Barry) Kent, Midway, UT. His four children, Shane (Vanessa) Palmer, Moses Lake, WA; Eric (Ashley) Palmer, Smithfield, UT; Kyle (Janelle) Palmer, Moses Lake, WA; Heidi (Chad) Ashby, Moses Lake, WA. His nine grandchildren, Halle, Paige, Lennix, Hayes, Lydia, Walker, Beau, Osten, and Emmie, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. #BattlingforBrad doesn’t stop here, we challenge all to battle life’s trials like Brad did, with hope, grace, love and eternity in mind. Services will be held on Saturday January 25, 2020 at the LDS Stake Center on 1515 S. Division St. Moses Lake, WA. A viewing will begin at 9:45 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens in Moses Lake, WA.
