Richard "Rick" Dale Roberts, 53, Moses Lake resident, passed away Saturday evening, June 23, 2012 at his home. Rick was born in Decatur, Illinois, son of the late William Eugene and Flora May (Simmons) Roberts. Flora later married George Etheridge. Rick served in the Army National Guard. In 1999 he married Susan Hersey and they have made their home in Moses Lake since. He worked as a Tech-2 for Samaritan Hospital. Susan works for Columbia Basin Hospital. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and his girls. Survivors include his wife, Sue, Moses Lake; 4 children, Billy E. (Darlene) Roberts, Electric City, Richard R. (Susan Hauser) Roberts, Jr., Deana (Justin Bosch) Roberts, Moses Lake and Eric Roberts of Spokane; siblings, Phyllis Enhley, Lakeland, Florida, Dee Siegmund, Mahomet, Illinois, Jean Etheridge, Casa Grande, Arizona, Jack Roberts, Loda, Illinois, Pat Etheridge, Cadiz, Kentucky, Steve Roberts, Florida, Junior Curtis, Seattle, Washington, Neva Curtis, Roberts, Illinois, Carolyn Shafer, Mahomet, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Jill Hersey, Moses Lake; good friends, Jose and Maryann Cantu, Moses Lake; and a large extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Bill Roberts. A barbeque potluck will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Blue Heron Park (formerly known as Moses Lake State Park), 101 Laguna Drive, Moses Lake.
