He served in the Navy during WWII, after which he moved his family to Spokane, WA. where he was a general contractor and real estate developer for 45 years. He moved to Warden WA. in 1982 when he purchased Sage Hill Golf Course (formerly Warden Golf Course). Later he built a 9 hole golf course called South Campus Golf (currently Hylander Greens) in Moses Lake. He served as a lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was very active in Moses Lake and the Warden community. Dan loved golfing, fishing, and hunting, but mostly enjoyed being around his family and spending time with friends. Dan will be dearly missed by his survivors - his lovely wife, Dorothy Thomas of 71 years; two daughters Ann & Jim Smith and Ida & Russ Horn ; grandsons Bob, Jim, Scott, Blaine and Chris; granddaughters, Wendy, Deanna & Lora and great grandchildren Jeremy, Chad, Carl, Jamie, Justin, Wilson, Charity, Melony, Katie, Trisha, and Danny Sue, and Reagan and nine great-great grandchildren.
